Psalms 106:21: They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt; Men have forgotten God in all ages. This is particularly offensive for us who have Christ dwelling in our hearts. We pay a high price for forgetting Him. We lose perfect peace and it is easier to sin. Isaiah 26:3: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. We believers need as many reminders of God as we can possibly find. And we need to remind one another about Him often. That is a great reason to attend church whenever possible. We need to make remembering Him a habit. The most joyful and productive believers install that habit deeply into their lives. Satan has a multitude of distractions to send our way so we need a multitude of reminders. Psalms 1:1: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. This article entitled The More You Think on God was written by Evangelist Wil Rice on Psalm 132:1 LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions.
